Today I had dinner with my friends in Sheung Wan. Before the dinner, we visited one of the heritages in Hong Kong - Sheung Wan Western Market.

I was attracted by the European building style. I believe it is the most beautiful market in Hong Kong. However, the inside of the Market is nothing special than a shopping mall which is an attraction for tourists.

The market locates in 323 Des Voeux Road Central, Sheung Wan, open between 10am to 12m.n daily.

Facts of Sheung Wan Western Market:

Western Market consisted originally of two separate blocks. The South Block at Queen's Road Central was built in 1858 and demolished in 1980. The remaining North Block, smaller and more compact in design, was built in 1906. It is in Edwardian style highlighted with "bandaged" brickwork on the four corner towers.
When the former Urban Council's market facilities came into operation in 1989, the market building became vacant and was later converted into a traditional trades, arts and crafts centre. It is now managed by the Urban Renewal Authority.

Cheung Chau Theatre

History
Cheung Chau Theatre located in 120 San Hing Back Street, Cheung Chau, New Territories. It was established in 1931. There were a black and white silent movie period. There were total of three film per day between one of noon and two for night included Cantonese and Western films. Cheung Chau Theatre were equipped over 600 seats for guests.

Firstly, we go to watch a film at 1:30 PM at Cheung Chau Theatre. This is very simple film ticket, included the name of theatre, what time to hold the film, price and ticket number. At the ticket, we cannot know the film name. Can you see the red color of (4-13)? It means your sit number. Nowday, the ticket also use initial A-Z to define your sit number.

↑↑ The ticket number is 35 thousands 6 hundreds and thirty five.
80 years ago, the ticket value is $20 for one. It is very expensive

↑↑ This ticket color was yellow one. I think that different color represent 10 thousands guest. It means 40 thousands guest ticket was yellow, 30 thousands guest ticket was blue.

↑↑ There were 90 thousands guest were serve totally. It was involved you? XD

Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda

Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda, in Tin Shui Wai, represents the culture heritage of Hong Kong.
Historically, it was built by Tang Yin-tung in the 14th century for the reason of fung shui. It was believed that the pagoda had a total of 7 floors, but it was cut down to 3 floors because of natural erosion. However, today it is the only ancient pagoda in Hong Kong. Unsurprisingly, it was declared a monument on 14 December 2001.
